Man succeeds at work despite
cerebral palsy
By: Susanne Tso
"Trevor Meacham doesn't let his disability interfere with his ability.
Born with cerebral palsy and impaired vision, Meacham has maintained full-time
jobs since he graduated from high school in 1992 from the Tucson campus of the
Arizona State School for the Deaf and the Blind.
Despite a limp left arm and an unsteady gait, Meacham stocks shelves all night
at the Target store at 48th Street and Ray Road in Ahwatukee Foothills. His
shift begins at 9:30 p.m. and doesn't end until deliveries are on the shelves,
which could be as late as 10 a.m. the next day, he said. He walks half a mile
from his apartment to work and back."
