The Bill and Michelle Bliven family here have a new home - and their old dog.

Jersey, the Bliven's small grey-and-white dog, had been missing for about a week, while the family got a new home built through the ABC TV show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The show that finds a deserving family and builds them a new home in seven days.

Jersey escaped from the home of a relative while the family was sent on a Disney Cruise during the home's surprise construction.

While the Blivens and their three children spent the week on the cruise, more than 3,800 people worked to build a wheelchair-accessible home for Aaron, who has cerebral palsy.

The home was presented to the family on Saturday. But Jersey was still on the loose.

Police Dispatcher Barb McPeak said Jersey was spotted early Monday, running along a highway bypass. Residents captured the dog, which led to an emotional reunion for the family and their pet.

Michelle Bliven said the whole experience has been like living a fairy tale for the family.

"Thank you isn't enough, but that's all we have," Bill Bliven said."
