Team of workers with disabilities
lands great new gig

"CLEVELAND -- In March we told you
about a team of workers with disabilities who were losing their jobs after nine
years on the job in downtown Cleveland.
For the last nine years, Gary Gorick and Chip Heiser reported for work at the
Hospital Services Company on Carnegie. They and co-workers Tom McKibben and
Carlos Martinez had been a team in the packaging operation since 1997.
But the company moved out of town in March and suddenly their jobs were gone.
When the four men left their jobs here last March at Hospital Services, they had
no prospects.
But enough people saw the story on Channel 3 News that the phones started to
ring at United Cerebral Palsy headquarters.
"Cleveland is a wonderful town and people always pull through and this time it
was the Cleveland Clinic and we're delighted," United Cerebral Palsy's Dr. Susan
Dean said."
