Cerebral Palsy Awareness Grants Program Application
Janet,
Jenner & Suggs seeks to fund grassroots organizations that provide support,
information and other resources to families and individuals affected by cerebral
palsy.
The firm is
especially committed to the dissemination of information that:
-
Enhances the public’s knowledge of preventable problems associated with
cerebral palsy, especially those that occur during labor and delivery;
- Reduces
the incidents of cerebral palsy caused by doctors and nurses misreading
fetal heart monitor (FHM) results;
-
Enhances the knowledge of families with young children of the “early warning
signs” of cerebral palsy so that diagnoses and treatment can begin as early
as possible – critical in long-term outcomes;
- Brings
awareness to pregnant couples about labor and delivery procedures so they
can better advocate for themselves if problems arise.
- Brings
awareness of issues facing people with Cerebral Palsy and their families.
