"Getting a bicycle is a rite of passage for most kids -- a tricycle for the
driveway, training wheels a few years later and then a chance to explore the
neighborhood on your own. But for 7 year old Noah Hall of Salisbury, getting a
bike wasn't so easy.
"Last year, the Easter Bunny brought him a bike," said Noah's mother, Pam
Hall."I tried to adapt it myself -- I put Velcro on the pedals and it really
didn't work. You try to hold him and hold the bike, but he didn't feel safe."
Noah has cerebral palsy, a condition which affects muscle movement and
coordination. There are bicycles made for children with special needs, but the
cost is often out of reach. Hall spent three years trying to find a way to get
Noah a set of wheels."
